Judges of the 65th Miss Universe pageant are looking for a strong female role-model. The judges include former titleholders Dayanara Torres, Sushmita Sen, and Leila Lopes, as well as Cynthia Bailey, Francine LeFrak, and Mickey Boardman.
1993 winner Dayanara Torres said,
With so much going on in the world right now—so much pain and hatred and war, so many people suffering—definitely, I’m looking for a woman that is not just confident and beautiful, but also relatable, because she has an extraordinary job.
She added that so many people want to do stuff, or talk, or reach out to people, but it’s not easy. The Miss Universe has that privilege with her. She must be able to relay a message and be firm on the platform she wants to create and work with.
LeFrak even calls the entire judging process as “very brutal.”
So many of the woman are beautiful inside and beautiful outside, and they really have that extra something that makes them so special that when they walk into the room, you’d say ‘That is Miss Universe.’
They are all so worthy and so deserving. When you get here in Miss Universe, you have already gone through so many competitions, which makes them all deserving in some levels.
Who will reign supreme?
