The wife of Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, Akie Abe, visited the Philippine National School for the Blind in Pasay City.
The school is being run by the Department of Education (DepEd). Mrs. Abe toured the school and spoke with school officials and students during her visit.
As mandated by Philippine Republic Act 3562, the school must promote the education of blind people in the country. This school is also touted as the country’s pioneer learning institution for the visually impaired.
